PSG Starlet Reject Contract Extension Deal As Arsenal Looms Large.

PSG's French young midfielder Adrien Rabiot has handed Arsenal a rare hope of signing him in the summer as he has rejected a contract extension from the Ligue 1 champions.

Rabiot who signed his first professional contract at PSG from
Camp des Loges after previous spells at Creteil and Manchester City, and who went on to have his breakthrough last season after graduating from the capital club's academy.

The Frenchman made an unlikely remark when he told Le Parisien (French Newspaper) , " I do not think too far ahead . It would not make much sense for me to say that I will still be at PSG in three or five years.

"Maybe that will be the case, but it depends on so many things ; on what the club wants , on whether or not I install myself in this team", he concluded.

With the likes of Laurent Koschieny, Oliver Giroud, Francis Coquelin all French and given the Gunners ties and smooth relationship with French clubs and players like Sylvian Wiltord, Thierry Henry and Patrick Vieira, it is very likely that Arsenal will be the starlets next destination if the Gunners name a price that meets the French man's transfer value.

Although Rabiot has played considerable amount of games this season, It is a known secret that he is behind the likes of Thiago Motta, Blaise Matuidi and Marco Verratti who are have been an intergral three man midfield of Coach Laurent Blanc since his appointment in 2013.

At 21, Rabiot has made 74 league appearances (since his signing in 2012) for the French team scoring seven goals. Rabiot was on the score sheet in a Champions League 2-1 away victory over Chelsea in the second round . He was sent off in the final of the Coupe de la Ligue against Lille which his club went on to win.

It remains to be the seen the position the midfielder will play at arsenal if signed as the a Gunners have an array of attacking midfielders in Mesut Ozil, Santi Cazorla, Alexis Sanchez , Aaron Ramsey and academy graduate Alex Iwobi.
