Pep Guardiola Out To Snap Manchester United's Benfica Starlet .

According to The Times, Manchester United are at risk of losing their top transfer target and 18-year-old Portuguese sensation Renato Sanches to noisy neighbours Manchester City.

Sanches is one of the young box -to- box midfielders in Europe
at the moment and has made 42 appearances in all competitions for the Portuguese capital club scoring six goals and registering one assist.

One flaw in the game of the youngster is the fact that he appears not yet ready to make the big leap after he struggled to make an impression in the Champions League quater-final against Pep Guardiola's Bayern Munich.

This season according to Squawka stats, Sanches has  registered a 56% take-on success rate coupled with his 58% successful tackles .

Manchester City were reported to be interested in the midfielder when incoming and present Bayern Munich manager , Pep Guardiola praised the starlet saying, "He is one of the best young players in Europe, for his dynamism and personality. It is not daft for anyone at 18 years of age to play at such a high level. He has a great future ahead of him. "

Manchester United had made a failed winter bid of £35 million to sign him and it is reportd  that the Portugutee will listen to offers for the 18-year-old in the region of £46.8 million (€60million), which is a little less of what Manuel Pellegrini's side paid Liverpool and Wolfsburg for both Raheem Sterling and Kelvin De Bruyne last season.
