According to The Mirror, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been offered to West Ham this summer by Arsenal as the North London club have been linked with summer moves for both Marcelo Brozovic of Inter and Granit Xhaka of Borrusia Mochengladbach.
Chamberlain who was signed from Southampton in 2011 as a then 17-year-old for £15 million has not lived to his early promise like his former Southampton and now Arsenal teammate Theo Walcott. The midfielder who can play both on the wings and central midfield has seen less playing time spending more time on the bench this season.
Also , the midfielder's place in Roy Hodgson's squad for the 2016 European Championship in France is also threatened with the likes of Danny Drinkwater, Dele Alli, Erik Deir and Adam Llalana all ahead of him in the pecking order.
While Southampton have made it public they would love to have him back, the South Coast club do not have the financial power which will be required to pull through the transfer in the summer unlike West Ham, who are expected to move to the Olympic Stadium with more than 60,000 capacity in the 2016/2017 season. Also West Ham under Croat Slaven Bilic have had a fairytale campaign , positioned in 6th with 56 points, seven points adrift of Arsenal who occupy the last Champions League qualifying spot with four games to go.
