Liverpool Target Barcelona Goalkeeper As Simon Mignolet's Replacement.

Liverpool according to the sun are interested in signing Barcelona second choice German goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen from Barcelona where he predominately plays in Cup Competitions.

Ter Stegen has made it public in recent times that he might seek moves outside if his situation does
not change before the end of the season and with three games to go before the end of the season, it seems his threats or pleas have fallen on deaf ears as Chilean Claudio Bravo remains the preferred choice in goal.

With the inconsistent form of Belgian Simon Mignolet who was signed in 2013 from Sunderland as Pepe Reina's replacement by Brendan Rodgers, it appears Jurgen Klopp is convinced compatriot Ter Stegen is the right man to take the Merseyside club to the next level .

To convince Ter Stegen to choose Anfield over Eastlands (Manchester City) where incoming manager Pep Guardiola is a known admirer due to his ball playing abilities as well as sweeper role , a weekly wage of £110,000 has been prepared for the German which the club believes will play a huge role in convincing to come.

Liverpool are not in contention to play Champions League football next season unless they win the Europa League a competition they are currently in the semi-final with a game against Vilarreal coming early next month .

With such attractive salary , Ter Stegen will automatically become the fourth highest paid player at the club behind the likes of Christian Benteke (£140,000), Daniel Sturudge ( 120,000) and James Milner (120,000) respectively .
