Former West Brom attacking midfielder Stephane Sessegnon is close to a free transfer to French club Montepellier according to Mercato 365. Sessegnon is billed to return to France after soending eight years in England with the likes of Sunderland and West Bromich Albion scoring 25 goals and providing 25 assists in 166 league games in total from both clubs .
At 32, Sessegnon might have lost some speed which made him fans favourite in Sunderland. The former PSG midfielder is strong, creative and can shoot with both foot with his main problem his poor decision making in the final third.
Montepellier managed by Frederic Hantz have been on a free fall since winning the French Ligue 1 in 2012 with the likes of Younous Belhanda and Oliver Giroud. The French club are presently 13th in the table , having gained so points from six games , two points off relegation places.
