Carlo Ancelotti Reveals The Enormous Pressure Coaches Face In Real Madrid .

By Ewah Chika.

Carlo Ancelotti has revealed it is easier to work with Franz Beckenbauer who is Bayern Munich's president when compared with Real Madrid's Florentino Perez.

The former Real Madrid coach also believes the press and media in Madrid make it difficult for any manager as they often criticise and scrutinise every of the coach's decisions especially when it doesn't go according to plans.

According to L'Equipe, Ancelotti had this to say, " The novelty is that here (Bayern), you have a president ( Franz Beckenbauer) who was a player and necessarily, comprehends more easily what happens.

"In Madrid there is much outside pressure. Many newspapers, radios and televisions. That is very noticeable . In Germany the atmosphere is different," he concluded.

Ancelotti won the Copa del Rey and the Champions League in his first season in charge in Madrid yet he was sacked in his second season after going trophy-less . The Italian was replaced by Rafa Benitez last summer who was also sacked less than six months into his reign despite being second in the league and winning his Champions League ahead of PSG and Sharktar Donesk. In all, Florentino Perez has recruited more than 14 coaches in his 10 years as president in two spells at the club.

In Bayern under Ancelotti, the Bavarian club have conceded only one goal in the Bundesliga this season after playing four games which is the joint lowest tally of any side in Europe's top five leagues. This is not not all as Bayern also boast the best possession in Europe's top five leagues this season topping the Bundesliga with 12 points after winning their four league games with a goal difference of 13, while Koln sit second on 10 points.
