Hijacked Egyptian Plane Lands In Cyprus Safely With No Casualty Recorded.

A major disaster was averted today in Larnaca , Cyprus after a hijacked plane which was initially supposed to fly from Alexandria to Cairo landed safely in Cyprus with the 81 passengers on board,
including 21 foreigners and 15 crew members were released unharmed by the hijacker.

It was reported by the Cypriot authorities, that a psychological  unbalanced man by name Ibrahim Samaha, had hijacked the Airbus 320 plane travelling from Alexandria to Cairo, claiming he was in possession of a suicide explosive belt and then forcing the pilot to divert and land in Cyprus . The man, it was reported had  been distraught and heartbroken as a result of his broken marriage with his ex-Cypriot wife. The man has been arrested by the Cypriot police and is currently been interrogated .

This will surely deal a big blow to the Egyptian tourism, after it's economy nose dived as a result of the 2011 uprising that ousted veteran dictator Hosni Mubarak. Also, the country was in the news for the very wrong reasons after a Russian plane was downed by a terrorist group in October killing all 224 people on board.
