Danny Simpson: From 300 Hours Community Service To England's Best Right Back.

Simpson on his part has claimed 71 interceptions , 127 clearances and made 12 blocks all in 23 games this season. The central defensive duo of Wes Morgan and Robert Huth have played better while Simpson was on the field as he is rarely caught off-guard , making 38 tackles with a success rate of 50 per cent. This has in-turn frustrated teams who depend heavily on wingers as Simpson has frequently thwarted the attempts of many wingers this season. At 29, Simpson is in his prime and deserves to be on the plane to France for the Euros with England. This is because he is the best English right back this season far ahead of regulars like Nathaniel Clyne of Liverpool, Phil Jones of Manchester United and Kyle Walker of Tottenham.

For a team that has one of the least possessions in the league which means the defence will always under attack , Danny Simpson has frequently bailed his team
mates on several occasions .
