"When PMB @NGRPresident had finished he let go of the mic and it dropped with a small bang on the table. He stood up and stroke away. PMB @NGRPresident walked out of the Banquet Hall with no glance at parents shell shocked.
No empathy. No connection. Just coldness" Aisha Yesufu (Leader of #BringBackOurGirls group) said of the President after the group met with the president on January 14 2016.
This doesn't speak well of a man whose number one campaign promise was to rescue the kidnapped Chobok girls and end Boko Haram insurgency in the run up to the April Presidential elections in 2015. It is worthy of note that 276 female students were kidnapped from the Government Secondary School in Chibok Borno State by the Boko Haram. While the governement of ex-president was severely blamed for its nonchalant attitude at the time of kidnap and inability to trace or rescue them, the new government has not done any better as it continues to play the blame game and things got worse when immediately after assuming power even denied promising to rescue the kidnapped girls during the campaign period.
Every human being has the right to live and the government has the sole responsibility to protect its citizens, while President Buhari might be excused for not being in power during the kidnap, he has done little or nothing to address the problem and his cold treatment towards the parents of the girls symbolizes how Nigerian leaders look down on their citizens. Since assuming power president Buhari hasn't being able to convince even the retarded that he understands the pains of Nigerians talk more of addressing them. It should be remembered that this same APC and President Buhari used this same Group to haunt the last administration and exposed their negligence, now the President has realised that talk is cheap (Uneasy lies the head that wears the crown). The Presidents body language is like that of a Cold and hardened leader and it won't win him much fans.
