Mrs Amina Zakari (Chairman, Independent National Electoral Commission), Ahmed Idris (Accountant General of the Federation), Mordecai Ladan ( Director, Department of Petroleum Resources) and Lawal Musa Daura
(Buhari's kinsman and Director-General, Department of State Security Service). Does these names ring a bell to anyone ? Sure it does, because all the names appear to have come from a certain part of the country (Core North).
"I belong to everybody and belong to nobody" is fast becoming a quote synonymous with deception. It is more than 33 days now and yet no ministerial appointment by the President and the only sensitive ones done so far are from a certain region ?. Does it mean other regions are not part of the country or not qualified enough to occupy such posts?. Only the President and the Head of Service Danladi Kifasi who has been making the announcements and now appears so popular unlike the precious regime . Is Nigeria no longer a sovereign federation or is it now a "Colonized State by the Northern Citizens"?. This is really a deadly precedent and a bad start for the President. It only goes to prove right the various accusations by mostly people of South South and South East during his campaigns, that he is a religious and ethnic bigot. He is also gradually proving his South Western backers wrong who proclaimed to all that it was all political accusation to call him such. It only proves right , the age long saying that the "North are born to Rule" or how else can you explain that in four significant appointments, all appointees come from a certain section of the country.
The records have to be set straight and the President reminded that even with all the votes of the Core North all going his way ( Kano, Sokoto, Katsina etc), the still failed woefully in his three attempts at the presidency (2003, 2007 and 2011). It took the invention, political sagacity and magic of Alhaji Ahmed Bola Tinubu to neutralize the bloc votes of the South West which always went the way of the PDP before he could win. There is no how the North can vehemently vote their own into power if the South doesn't engage in a free fight for all as experienced during the second republic and seventh republic (Awolowo vs Azikiwe- 2nd republic and South South , South East and Goodluck vs South West and Bola Tinubu). This is based on the fact that most Christian minorities in the North (Kogi, Benue, Plateau, Taraba, Kaduna etc) will prefer to vote a Southern Christian than vote a Northern Muslim due to the constant neglect they have suffered in the hands of the Northern brothers.President Buhari could never have won without the votes of the South West which was enough for him to win with more than 2.5 million votes over Goodluck Jonathan of the PDP.
Nigerians know what the experienced during the more than 30 years of military rule of different Northern extracts and who often subdued and coerced other regions to stay out of the corridors of power for years. Are we repeating this same mistake again in the digital age of 2015?.
The President has spent more than a decade contesting for the Presidency but when appears to have finally got it, he now seems confused and overwhelmed. How can a country like Nigeria function without ministers and a Secretary of the Federation for more than 33 days? Time lost can never be regained and after making more than 81 campaign promises, it is time to deliver and not act some scripts.
The whole country is more than a single leader or certain region and such insensitivity to the Federal Character and Equity can no longer be tolerated. Once more I beg to ask if Nigeria is now a colony of the North. Such questions cannot be answered by mere words but by actions and only by the the President himself.
Finally at this point with the turn of event, Nigerians just have to pray for the best while expecting the worst . I prefer to be optimistic though.

Yes, we must be optimistic! There's still time for the manifestation of change.
