During the past winter transfer , one player and club was in the centre of most transfer rumours and that was CSKA Moscow and it's player Ahmed Musa.
Ahmed Musa is a Nigerian winger who can play in any
position in attack. The Nigerian has played 13 league games this season and has scored 6 goals, creating 16 chances with a shot accuracy of 54%. His average pass accuracy is 73% with an average pass length of 13m. Musa has also played 6 Champions League games scoring a lone goal. To his credit he is also the Captain of his national team (Nigeria) who are considered a powerhouse in African football. At 23 years , Musa has already played 53 times for the Super Eagles with 11 goals to his credit .
What counts for Musa so much is his young age (23), pace and his ability to dribble his way out of one on one situations with defenders. Musa in total has made 113 appearances for the Moscow side with 35 goals . He also scored a brilliant brace against Argentina during the 2014 World Cup tournament in Brazil . Ahmed Musa it should be noted was born in Nigeria on 14 October 1992. He began his career in GBS Football Academy , before he was transferred to JUTH F.C after which he joined Kano Pillars F.C in 2009. While at Pillars, Musa broke the record for the highest ever number of goals scored in a single season in the history of the Nigeria Premier League (18) which has been broken recently by Jude Aneke of Kaduna United (20).
Musa joined Dutch side VVV-Venlo in August 2010, he couldn't play for Venlo as he hadn't turned 18 hence a minor. On the day of his debut in October 2010, he won a penalty for his team after starting in the match . He was subsequently rated amongst the Hot 100 young football starts in the world to watch in 2011 by Goal.com and since then he has not relented . He departed from Venlo after playing 35 games and scored 8 goals in a double season and departed for CSKA Moscow in 2012.
Musa has been compared to Manchester City and Spanish Jesus Navas due to his pace and ability to cut inside and cross or shoot. The only difference is that Musa is not as direct as Navas and can dribble and is much more skillful.
With the new turn of events it won't take long before Musa dumps Eastern Europe for choice European Powerhouse clubs .
