The Dark Side Of Sylvester Stallone "Rocky" And Reasons We Have To Fight Adversity.

This is one of the SADDEST stories ever told in Hollywood. His name is Sylvester Stallone. One of the GREATEST and MOST famous American Movie Superstars. What many movie fans don't know is that before stardom, Stallone was a struggling actor in every definition. At some point, he got so broke that he stole his wife's jewellery and sold it off. Things even got so bad, that he ended up homeless. Yes, he slept at the New York bus station for three days, unable to pay rent or afford food. Stallone's lowest point came when he tried to sell his dog at the liquor store to any stranger, because he couldn't afford the luxury of feeding the dog any longer( he finally sold it for $25 only). Stallone walked home crying the day he sold the dog at the liquor store.
Two weeks later, he saw a boxing match between Mohammed Ali and Chuck Wepner in Richfield Ohio, and that match gave him the inspiration to write the script for the now famous movie,' ROCKY'. Stallone wrote the script for just 20 hours. He then tried to sell it and got an offer for $125,000 for the script from United Artists. Stallone refused the bid because he also had just ONE REQUEST for United Artists and the request was that he wanted to STAR in the movie. Not just that he wanted to star in the movie, but he wanted to be the MAIN ACTOR "Rocky Balboa", but United Artists would rather have established stars like Robert Redford or Ryan O'Neal star as Rocky.

This was because to them Stallone was a rookie and also "Looked funny and talked funny." Stallone left with his script, because to him he would never forgive himself if another actor stars as Rocky in the movie apart from himself. A few weeks later, United Artists offered him $250,000 for the script, and he still refused. They even offered $350,000, and he still turned them down. United Artists  wanted his movie, but NOT Stallone, but he declined. Stallone had to be the Main Man in his movie. After a while, the script was so difficult to turn down and United Artists relented and gave him his dream role as Rocky Balbao and a further $35,000
for the his script. The rest is history!

Rocky won Best Picture, Best Directing and Best Film Editing at the prestigious Oscar Awards. Stallone was also nominated for BEST ACTOR category though he didn't win and ROCKY was inducted into the  American National Film Registry as one of the greatest movies ever! Guess the first thing Stallone did with his $35,000? Remember his long sold dog? Yes, Stallone 'LOVED HIS DOG SO Much' that  he stood at the liquor store for three days waiting if he could by chance meet the man who bought his dog from him. And as fate would have it on the 3rd day, he meet the man coming with the dog. Stallone explained why he sold the dog and begged for his dog back, but the man refused. Stallone offered him $100, and the man still refused. He offered him $500. And the  man still refused again. Yes,he refused even $1000. And, believe it, Stallone had to pay $15,000 for the same dog that he sold for just $25! ( Another case of good bargaining and negotiation)

Today, the  same Stallone who slept in the streets and sold his dog, for the main reason that he couldn't afford it's feeding is one of the
GREATEST Movie Stars who ever walked this earth!!

Being broke is BAD. So Really BAD. Have You ever had a dream? A wonderful dream? But You are too
broke to implement it? Too tiny to do it? Too small to accomplish it? Damn! I've been there too many times!
Life is tough. Opportunities will pass you by, just because you are a
NOBODY. What is worse is that like Stallone at a point, People will want your products but NOT YOU. Its a tough
world. If you ain't already famous, or rich or "connected", You will find it rough. Doors will be shut on You. People will steal your glory and crash your hopes. You will push and push. And yet NOTHING WILL HAPPEN.
And then your hopes will be crashed. You will be broke. Damn broke. You will do odd jobs just for survival. You will be unable to feed yourself. And
Yes, you may end up sleeping in the streets. It happens. Yes, it does.
BUT NEVER LET THEM CRUSH THAT DREAM. Whatever happens to
You, Keep Dreaming. Even when they crush your hopes, Keep Dreaming. Even when they turn you
away, Keep Dreaming. Even when they shut you down, Keep Dreaming. The Truth is that NOBODY REALLY KNOWS OR CARES WHAT YOU ARE CAPABLE OF EXCEPT YOU!!!!

People will judge You by HOW
you look. And by WHAT You have.
But please, Fight on! Fight for Your place in history. Fight for your GLORY. NEVER EVER GIVE UP! Even if it means selling all your clothes and
sleeping with the dogs, ITS OKAY for AS LONG AS YOU ARE STILL ALIVE hence Your STORY IS NOT YET OVER. TRUST ME.  Keep Up the Fight. Keep your dreams and hope alive. Go great and also keep the FAITH as you soldier on. Like and share if inspired. Lovely day people!!!!
