Are Chelsea Back To Winning Ways With The New 3-4-3 Formation?

Are Chelsea Back To Winning Ways With The New 3-4-3 Formation?

By Ewah Chika.

Antonio Conte might have made his name in the Seria A  after winning Seria A thrice with Juventus despite taking over a poor Juventus from Luigi Delneri in 2011 (Delneri's Juventus finished  seventh a season before Conte came on board).

Conte also performed admirably well with the Azzurri's reaching the quarter-final before losing on penalties to star studded Germany after beating the likes of Belgium and Spain with a less talented Italy squad. Yet all these appear to have changed in a flash after his Chelsea side failed to win three games in a row conceding seven goals and gaining only one point which came against Swansea.

A Quick Glance At World Class Nice Coach Lucien Favre, Who Sits Atop The French Ligue 1 With A Team Of 23 years Average.

A Quick Profile Of World Class Swiss And Nice Coach Lucien Favre Who Sits Atop The French Ligue 1 Table With A Team Average Age Of 23.

A glance at the French Ligue 1 table will shock the viewer as unheralded Nice are sitting atop the league on 20 points one point ahead of second placed Monaco.

While much of the praise has been to Italian prodigal son Mario Balotteli who seems rejuvenated since joining the club scoring six  goals in five league games, much of the praise should be extended to Swiss coach Lucien Favre  who has turned the Southern French club to giant killers.  Favre has built the team on a limited budget unlike PSG, Monaco and Lyon who have the funds to spend. The former Borussia Mochengladbach coach has gradually evolved the team building on the success of departed French man Claude Puel who left for Southampton in the summer after guiding Nice to a fourth place finish last season.

Hearland FC's Relegation Confirms The Demise Of Imo State  Under Rochas Okorocha.

By Ewah Chika.

The latest football news in Nigeria as of present is the relegation of Heartland Football Club of Imo State to the second division of Nigerian Football League for the first time in their history. This is coming at a time that neighbours, Rangers of Enugu are celebrating their first league title in 32 years.

Hearland's relegation is not shocking to some considering it's been a gradual demise since the assumption of Rochas Okorocha as the governor of Imo State in 2011.

Indisciplined And Rash: Why David Moyes And Sunderland Might Regret Not Signing Emmanuel Adebayo This Season.

Indisciplined And Rash, Why David Moyes And Sunderland  Might Regret Not Signing Free Agent Emmanuel Adebayo  This Season.

By Ewah Chika.

Six goals in seven Premier League games is a poor return for any club fighting for Premier League survival, yet that is exactly where David Moyes and Sunderland find themselves presently. The North East club are not only poor in finding the back of the net, they are also a calamity at the back shipping 13 goals so far this season in the league . Though it is difficult to pinpoint whether their problem lie in attack or defence , one glaring thing is the lack of attacking firepower lacking at the club with Jermain Defoe and attacking left-back  Patrick Van Aanholt having scored the club's six  goals so far this season (Defoe on four and Van Aanholt on two).

Why Slaven Bilic's Are Struggling This Season .

Why West Ham Is Struggling In The Premier League.

No West Ham fan envisaged what transpired at Upton Park last season following the appointment of Slaven Bilic as Sam Allardyce's replacement.

Bilic had previously had spells at Spartak Moscow , Besiktas and the Croatian national team with no trophy to show, yet this did not stop him from becoming an instant success at West Ham after his 2-0 win over Arsenal in the opening game of last season. Bilic's West Ham did not only win big games, after beating the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal, they also played an exciting and entertaining brand of football that wooed neutrals going on to finish sixth in the league.

Has Victor Moses Finally Found His Form At Chelsea?

Has Victor Moses Finally Found His Form In Chelsea?

By Ewah Chika.

Signed in 2012, Victor Moses has failed to nail down a starting berth in Chelsea, having gone on loan to three different clubs (Liverpool, Stoke and West Ham) after winning the Europa League with the Blues in 2013.

The winger was regularly used by Rafa Benitez during his time at the club, yet this counted for nothing when Jose Mourinho was appointed, as the Portuguese deemed Moses  not good enough sending him on loan until his exit last season.

The Reason Why Either Of Sven Mislintat (Chief Scout) Or Thomas Tuchel Will Quit Borussia Dortmund Next Season.

The Real Reason Either Of Sven Mislintat (BVB Chief Scout) And Thomas Tuchel Will Quit Borussia Dortmund In The Summer.

"Do not put two strong personalities in the same staff," were the words of Noel Le Graet the French Football Federation (FFF) President as the reason former Arsenal and French legend Thierry Henry was not drafted into Didier Deschamps back room team.

With reports from Germany, it seems Le Graet's advice would probably do Borussia Dortmund a big favour as the tussle for supremacy and superiority continues between head coach Thomas Tuchel and Chief Scout Sven Mislintat (43).

They Spaniard had to beat Mauricio Pochettino's Tottenham at White Hart Lane on Sunday to maintain his 100 percent record in the league in a game even the most faithful City fan knew was going to be his defining moment in England after beating Jose Mourinho's Manchester United in Old Trafford earlier in the season.

Pochettino has taken time to implement his playing style in North London after reaching the League Cup final and finishing fifth in his debut season in White Hart Lane in the 2014/2015 season.

Why Francesco Guidolin's Sacking By Swansea Is Unfair.

Francesco Guidolin clearly knew his job was at stake before his eventual sacking on Monday after recording only one win in seven Premier League games this season. This season, Swansea have lost to Hull, Leicester City, Southampton, Manchester City and Liverpool with the only positive been their opening day win over Burnley and the draw with Chelsea.

Insensitive And Senseless, Were Chelsea Wrong To Dispose Legendary Petr Cech For Thibaut Courtois?

By Ewah Chika.

When Petr Cech was sold to Arsenal for £10 million in the summer of 2015, Chelsea fans were upset though not for the sale of the legend rather due to the fact Chelsea were strengthening bitter rivals Arsenal with Cech's sale. Fast forward to two months  and it was clear from the opening season game against Swansea that Courtois was miles behind the former Rennes goalkeeper at the Bridge.

It is now even clearer that Chelsea were wrong to have traded their club legend for an insensitive and less passionate Belgian who has been sent off thrice since the sale of Cech in 2015.

By Ewah Chika.

Former Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal is presently in talks with Werder Bremen to replace sacked coach Viktor Skrypnyk according to Hamburg Abendblatt.

Van Gaal had earlier said in 2014 after taking over in Manchester United that the club will be his last as he was going to retire at the expiration of his three years contract but it seems his sacking by the North West club has left a bitter taste and experience in his memory that he has decided to give coaching another shot.

By Ewah Chika.

Carlo Ancelotti has revealed it is easier to work with Franz Beckenbauer who is Bayern Munich's president when compared with Real Madrid's Florentino Perez.

By Ewah Chika.

Velez Sarsfield has revealed they have lodged a formal complaint to FIFA after Manchester City attempted to sign an under-aged Argentine schoolboy by name Benjamin Garre from them.

Velez claim City had breached FIFA's regulation when trying to sign the youngster at 15 which is prohibited by FIFA as it represents minor transfers. This is coming at a time FIFA made it almost extremely difficult for European clubs to sign players outside the European Union and who are under 18 so as to tackle or discourage the exploitation of minors.
